Preserving and sharing information about the 99th Infantry Battalion (Separate) requires extensive work, collaboration and support from many individuals and organizations.  Below is a list of some of these contributors - please contact us at info@99battalion.org if we are missing anyone.

    • Erik Brun: Board membership, extensive military archival research, partnership alignment with many organizations, presentations and Facebook engagement.

    • Chris and Ken Cangilla: Creating the Our WWII Dad podcast series. 

    • Barbara Gabler:  Donating her father's wartime scrapbook to the Minnesota Military Museum.  And sharing her memorabilia at many events.

    • Harlan Hanson: Instrumental leader in the 99th Foundation creating newsletters, arranging reunions and being an overall chearleader for the efforts.

    • Bill Hoffland: Founder of the current 99th Educational Foundation and long-time board member / board chair.  Coordinated video interviews of 99th soldiers.

    • Paula Lindholm:  Daughter of Lt Allen Lindholm.  Many hours compiling and sharing information, digitally capturing Company D photo albums.

    • Olaf Minge: Grandson of Capt Raymond Minge.  Board member/chair.  Creating the updated 99th website, co-editing role on the Viking Battalion book.

    • Norwegian Military Attaches:

      • Magne Roedahl: Colonel, Royal Norwegian Army. Extensive work with Special Forces organizations, participation in presentations on the 99th.

      • Col Erik Kelley: Colonel, Royal Norwegian Army.  Representation from 2022-2024.

      • Col Knutsen:  Representation from 2024-tbd.

    • Arve and Antoni Pisani: Years of research, extensive interviews with 99th soldiers, and travels around battle sites in Europe.  Creation of the Battlefield Legacies blog.  Author of the book, Canal Drive.

    • Irene Sophie Starck: Board member, engagement with Sons of Norway partners particularly in the Pacific Northwest, engagement in Norway's 200th Emigration event planning.

    • Dr Kyle Ward:  Longtime board member.  Co-editing role on the Viking Battalion book.  Presentations at events on the 99th story.  Extensive work with partners on 99th projects, including the MN Military Museum, the Norwegian 200th Emigration story.

    • Erik Wiborg:  Board members, creating the original 99th Infantry Battalion website and Facebook pages, travelling and interviewing 99th soldiers, collecting and curating hundreds of photographs.
